Every journey begins with a first step. Giving for the first time is an opportunity to express gratitude to God and begin trusting Him with your finances. It's not about how much you give, but about taking a step of faith with what God has entrusted to you.

Generosity grows when it becomes a regular part of our lives. Rather than giving only when we remember or when a special need arises, we can make giving an intentional rhythm of worship. Consistent generosity helps us develop faithful habits and continually put God first.

Tithe 10% of income.

The Bible teaches us to honor God with the first and best of what we receive. Tithing means giving 10% of our income to God through the local church. It's a meaningful way to put God first in our finances and grow in trusting Him rather than our possessions. While the New Testament emphasizes willing and cheerful generosity rather than requiring a specific percentage, the biblical practice of tithing provides a helpful benchmark for growing in sacrificial giving.

God, everything I have belongs to You. Help me trust You with my finances and put You first in every area of my life. Give me the faith to grow in sacrificial generosity.

Give special gifts beyond your tithe.

God's generosity toward us is greater than we could ever deserve. As our gratitude and faith grow, our generosity can overflow beyond our regular giving. Overflowing generosity means looking for additional opportunities to make a difference through special gifts that support missions, outreach, ministry initiatives, building projects, and other needs. These gifts go above and beyond our regular tithe, allowing us to participate in even more of what God is doing. It's not about reaching a financial finish line. It's about continually growing in our desire to honor God and bless others.
