Generosity
Your Generosity Journey
Generosity is one way God shapes our hearts to trust Him more. This journey isn’t about pressure or comparison—it’s about discipleship and taking intentional steps of faith over time.
Find Where You Are on the Journey
The Generosity Journey includes four giving steps designed to help you grow at your own pace. Wherever you are, there’s no guilt—only an invitation to move forward as God prompts you. Identify the step that best describes where you are today, then read Scripture, reflect in prayer, and respond when you’re ready.
01. Compassionate Giver
A Compassionate Giver responds when God moves their heart—whether that’s the very first time they give or when a specific need stirs their compassion. This giver is tender to God’s prompting and willing to take faithful steps of obedience as the Spirit leads.
READ
2 Corinthians 9:7 · Deuteronomy 16:17 · 1 John 3:17 · Matthew 9:36
REFLECT IN PRAYER
God, what first step of obedience are You inviting me to take? When You stir my heart with compassion, help me respond with open hands. Teach me to trust You as I take steps of generosity.
RESPOND
If God is inviting you to give for the first time, take that step here when you’re ready. Ramsey+ can also provide practical tools to help build margin, reduce financial stress, and grow toward generosity over time.
02. Consistent Giver
A Consistent Giver makes generosity a regular spiritual rhythm. Instead of giving only occasionally, generosity becomes intentional—often through weekly or monthly giving or recurring gifts. This giver is learning faithfulness in the everyday.
READ
1 Corinthians 16:2 · Luke 16:10
REFLECT IN PRAYER
God, help me build generosity into the regular rhythm of my worship. Show me how to move from occasional giving to consistent, intentional faithfulness.
RESPOND
If you’re ready to build a steady rhythm, consider setting up recurring giving here.
03. Christ-First Giver
A Christ-First Giver responds to God’s generosity by giving through the local church as an act of worship and gratitude. While the New Testament does not command a specific percentage, it calls believers to generous and cheerful giving. The tithe—10%—has long served as a helpful starting point for honoring God and placing Jesus at the center of our financial priorities.
READ
Malachi 3:10 · Proverbs 3:9
REFLECT IN PRAYER
Lord, are You inviting me to trust You by giving my firstfruits? Show me what it means to honor You with the first 10% and put You first in my finances.
RESPOND
If you’re considering tithing or sacrificial giving, begin here when you’re ready to take that step of faith.
04. Catalyst Giver
A Catalyst Giver goes beyond regular sacrificial giving to fuel ministry in extraordinary ways—supporting missions, youth camp scholarships, outreach, building projects, special giving opportunities, and long-term impact through legacy giving. Their generosity multiplies ministry today and helps shape the future.
