We serve because Jesus first served us. Throughout Scripture, we see that serving is not just something we do — it’s part of who we are becoming. When we step in to serve, we reflect the heart of Christ, grow in humility, and participate in God’s work in the lives of others.
At Cornerstone, serving is one of the clearest ways we live out our mission: entering into relationships to intentionally help people follow Jesus, be changed by Him, and join His mission. Every greeting at the door, every child cared for, every soundboard adjusted, and every prayer offered creates space for someone to encounter God.
Serving doesn’t just impact the church — it transforms the one who serves. As we use our gifts, we discover purpose, build meaningful relationships, and experience the joy of being part of something bigger than ourselves.

Getting Started is Simple
Our goal isn’t just to place you somewhere — it’s to help you serve in a way that aligns with your gifts and allows you to flourish. We can’t wait to see how God will use you.
Step 1: Complete the Cornerstone Volunteer Application.
This helps us learn more about you, your interests, and how God may be leading you to serve.
STEP 2: Connect with a Ministry Leader.
Once we receive your application, a ministry leader will reach out to answer questions, walk you through next steps, and help you find the right fit.
Serve Beyond Our Walls
Our mission doesn’t stop at the doors of our church.
We believe following Jesus means loving our neighbors, caring for the hurting, and bringing hope to our city and the world. Through local outreach and global partnerships, we serve people in practical ways and share the hope of Jesus.
Whether it’s serving our community, partnering with local organizations, or joining a mission trip, there are opportunities to make a difference beyond our walls.
What if I don’t know what my gifts are?
That’s okay! Serving is often how you discover your gifts. We’ll help you explore opportunities that align with your interests and strengths.
How much time does serving require?
Most teams serve on a rotation, not every week. We want serving to be life-giving, not overwhelming.
Do I need experience?
No experience is required for most roles. We provide training and support so you feel confident and equipped.
What if I try a team and it’s not the right fit?
That’s completely okay. We want you serving where you thrive. If something doesn’t feel right, we’ll help you find a better fit.
Can I serve if I’m new to the church or new to faith?
Yes. Serving is a great way to build relationships and grow. Some roles may require additional steps, but there are opportunities for everyone to get involved.
