Our History

What began as a small church on a hill in Wildomar in 1992 has grown into a thriving community of people committed to following Jesus and helping others do the same. Through every season, God has faithfully led, provided, and opened doors to reach more people across our valley and beyond.While much has changed over the years, our mission remains the same: to help people follow Jesus, be changed by Jesus, and join the mission of Jesus. As we look back, we’re grateful for all God has done—and we’re expectant for what He will do next.

Our Founding Pastor

Pastor Ron is the founding pastor of Cornerstone and still occasionally speaks at the church. A natural storyteller, he has an extraordinary ability to help people understand the Bible in ways that connect to everyday life. He holds a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree from Azusa Pacific University, a Juris Doctor (yes, he’s a lawyer), and a Doctor of Education from Brandman University. He has served as an adjunct professor at Azusa Pacific University and has also taught at Calvary Chapel Bible College.

Ron and Deb were teenage sweethearts and have been married for an uncommonly long time. It is rumored that Moses performed their wedding ceremony right after delivering the Ten Commandments. They raised two sons, and Ron credits his slightly receding hairline to the parenting experience. An avid reader, he was selected by Barnes & Noble as “the customer most likely to help us stay in business.” He is most often described as a “real peach.”
